Welcome to the International Development Institute (IDI)

As an institute specializing in ODA (Official Development Assistance) and social economy policies, the International Development Institute at Chungbuk National University was founded in May 2019. In August 2019, IDI was designated as one of the government-funded university research institutes by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. Since then, IDI has been enhancing its research capacity and cooperative studies internationally and will achieve world-class excellence in its research, formulate preemptive and applicable ODA policies, and at the same time strengthen comprehensive academic studies. In parallel with research, IDI will endeavor to continually disseminate information on ODA issues and its related other policies. While recognizing the importance of finding new approaches to ODA policies, IDI will work diligently to put forward applicable policy directions based on comprehensive studies.
